Shutter Encoder

Latest version:Unknown
Release date:Unknown

Shutter Encoder is an open-source media converter built on FFmpeg, handling video, audio and image files. It exposes encoding settings such as duplicate frame detection, frame rate interpolation and deinterlacing, plus trimming with a cut-without-re-encoding option, colour adjustment with LUTs, cropping, subtitle burn-in and clip information overlays. It also includes a built-in subtitle editor, automatic cut detection, a render queue and file renaming.

Shutter Encoder uses FFmpeg as its encoding engine, which lets it cover a wide range of codecs while handling video, audio and images. A panel exposes encoding settings including duplicate frame detection, frame rate interpolation, analytical tools and several deinterlacing filters. Trimming selects exactly the part of the video to keep, and with some codecs the cut can be made without re-encoding. Image work covers colour adjustment, LUTs, colour space conversion and raw formats, and there are subtitle burn-in with a built-in subtitle editor, clip name and timecode overlays, logo and watermark overlays, automatic cut detection that can export an edl, a render queue, saved presets and FTP upload.
