Permute brings media handling into a single queue-based interface. More than a hundred formats of video, audio, images, PDFs and text can be converted into one another, and the same files can be trimmed, cropped, resized, rotated, flipped, given subtitles, have their audio tracks swapped, and be adjusted for speed and volume before output, with a target file size as well. Files can be combined or split by time, EDL or CUE, and audio, video or subtitle tracks can be exported on their own without re-encoding. Smart tools cover text to speech narration, OCR on images and ringtone creation, while image filters handle blur, colour, gamma, vignette and sharpening.
