Clop does all of its processing on the device and uses no cloud services. It runs in the background, so an image copied to the clipboard is optimized and can be pasted straight into any app, and a screen recording is compressed as soon as recording stops, with options to crop it, convert to GIF, change its speed, strip the audio or encode it to mp4. Pipelines chain actions such as crop and convert in order, and can be pinned to the clipboard, a drop zone, a watched folder or a preset zone so they run automatically. Files can also be compressed down to a chosen size limit, and formats such as HEIC, tiff and mov are converted into widely supported ones.

Clop is a macOS utility that optimizes images, videos, PDFs and clipboard contents. Images copied to the clipboard are compressed automatically, and screen recordings are processed when recording stops, with options to crop, convert to GIF or encode to mp4. Pipelines chain actions together and can be attached to the clipboard, a watched folder or preset zones, while size-limit compression and conversion to JPEG XL and WebP are supported.
